Building workbenches is the easiest way to ensure there are no gaps because the effect radius is shown. A new update is available for Valheim See the patch notes below.Since monster spawning is prevented inside player's bases, the workbench can be used to prevent monster spawns in areas that the player selects. The workbench is a basic structure used to define the Player's base. For weapons and armor, upgrades also improve damage or defense ratings.

Each upgrade gives the item more durability. With each level of the Workbench gained some items can be upgraded an additional time, to a maximum of two or three upgrades. Upgrades can be built on the opposite side of walls and floors.

Also, your Workbench needs to be updated till level 4 for you to be able to craft this Harpoon. Consuming this will unlock one random weapon skin in your wardrobe that you do not already have.
